Miss Myers and Mr . Hatch exchange vows October 3, 2009
Mrs. Michael Brandon Hatch Mr. and Mrs. Michael Brandon Hatch were married October 3, 2009, at two o’clock in the afternoon. The marriage is announced by the bride’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. James Townsend Myers.
Mrs. Hatch, the former Aidan Hoefer Myers, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Wellington Hoefer of Columbia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Buford Mac- Martin Myers of New Orleans, LA.
The bride, formerly of Columbia, is a 2001 graduate of Dreher High School, a 2005 graduate of Duke University, and is currently a second–year student at the Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Ga.
Mr. Hatch is the son of Mrs. Jane Collins Hatch of Greenville, S.C. and Mr. Kevin James Hatch of Simpsonville, S.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ruth Lane Collins and the late Mr. Joseph Francis Collins, Sr. of Winthrop, MA, and Mr. James Vernon Hatch and the late Mrs. Clara Jean Garrison Hatch of Windcrest, TX.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of J.L. Mann High School in Greenville, S.C., a 2005 graduate of Duke University, and is currently a fourth–year student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Penn.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. Christian Hoefer Myers of Columbia was her sister’s maid of honor. Other attendants were the bride’s sister, Amy Elizabeth Myers, M.D. of Austin, Tex.; her first cousin, Lilla Toal Mandsager of San Francisco, Calif.; the groom’s sister, Lauren Brooke Hatch of Simpsonville, S.C.; Elene Dimas of Atlanta, Ga.; Lauren Marie Smith of Washington, D.C.; and Meredith Pringle Marks of Roanoke, Va. Flower girls were the bride’s nieces, Sarah Elizabeth Myers and Emma Harris Myers. The ring bearer was the bride’s cousin, Patrick Jacob Eisen.
Dave Ashok Chokshi, M.D. of Boston, Mass. and Amit Vikram Khera of Philadelphia, Penn. served as best men. Groomsmen in the wedding party were the bride’s brother, Townsend MacMartin Myers of New Orleans, La.; and Rodrigo Cerda; William Jonathan Dunkman, M.D.; Benjamin Raymond Parker, and Adam Robertson Rowh, M.D. all of Philadelphia, Penn.
The Rite of Marriage was celebrated by the Reverend Richard D. Harris at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Music was provided by sopranist Sophie Gardener Bradburn, cousin of the bride; trumpeter Andrew Loeffler; organist English Morris; and the choir of St. Joseph under director of Music, Theresa Sturken Riley.
A seated dinner and dance were held in the evening at Forest Lake Club.
Music was provided by The Root Doctors.
Mr. and Mrs. Hatch will honeymoon in Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala.
