City Center Partnership (downtown business district), Devine Street, Five Points, the Vista, and Millwood Avenue announce the kickoff of their collaborative campaign called Shop Proud Shop Columbia. Shop Columbia is an awareness campaign to get people to shop in the Columbia area to help the local economy before shopping in other cities or online.

The campaign will kick–off Friday, October 2 at 9:30 am outside of the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. Mayor Coble will be there to talk about the campaign and the positive effects this will have in Columbia.

The shopping districts already involved in the campaign encourage other shopping areas around Columbia to take part in this awareness campaign.
