Stein Mart and Salvation partner for clothing donations
An aching economy has caused a decrease in clothing donations to The Salvation Army, but the need for donations continues to rise. This immediate need is an important reason for people to participate in the upcoming Give & Receive event scheduled for October 1- 3, at Stein Mart stores at 4840 Forest Drive and 934 North Lake Drive.
Here's how the event works. Customers will take "gently used" clothing to Stein Mart. The clothes will be donated to The Salvation Army. Volunteers will staff tables inside Stein Marts where they will receive clothing donations, keep a tally of how many clothes are donated, give out 20% coupons off one regular priced item at Stein Mart and provide tax receipts.
There is no limit to the amount of clothing that can be accepted. Donated apparel will help replenish The Salvation Army's Family Thrift Store at 1312 North Millwood Avenue. Money earned at the Family Thrift Store is used to help people in need.
