When The Shepherd's Center of Columbia begins its fall quarter on September 16 at Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, a free class "Mental Illness in the 21st Century" will be offered to non members at 11 am. The public is invited to attend this class which will extend through November 11. Coordinated by Michael Stockdell, each Wednesday an invited speaker will focus on ways to recognize mental disorders and how to deal with them. On September 16, the speaker will be Garianne Guner, Mrs. USA.
