A Bubbie is a Jewish grandmother Bubbie's Brisket Bakeoff, a food tasting using recipes handed down from generation to generation will be held Sunday, September 13, noon to 3 pm at Beth Shalom Synagogue, 5827 North Trenholm Road.

The six competitive categories of cooking include appetizers, matzah ball soup, brisket, casserole/ vegetables, challah, and desserts.

A five course meal will be served featuring the best food from the best cooks Beth Shalom has to offer. The cost will be $10 for adults and $5 for children six and under.
