Bill and Margaret Haynes wll celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary August 8. They were married August 8, 1942, in Burlington, North Carolina. They have five children, 21 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren (with more expected in the near future.)

 

Bill was a navigator in the Army Air Corp in Long Beach and Hamilton Field, Calif. The couple lived in Long Beach and Mill Valley, Calif. After retiring from the military as a lieutenant colonel, he worked for NCR from 1946- 1986, living in Greensboro, N.C.; Dayton, Ohio; Lumberton, N.C.; Fayetteville, N.C.; and Charleston, S.C. They are members of Laurel Baptist Church in West Columbia and have resided in South Congaree since 1974.
