Choreographer wins 2009 Jazz Dance World Congress Bronze Leo Award for Outstanding Chorography

Terrance Henderson Terrance Henderson Terrance Henderson, artistic director of Vibrations Dance Company and mainstay choreographer in the Midlands theatre community, is the recipient of the 2009 Jazz Dance World Congress Bronze Leo Award for Outstanding Choreography. Henderson, a Newberry native and University of South Carolina graduate, was one of 14 finalists selected from applicants from across the globe to perform at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Chicago's Millennium Park.

His piece entitled "Stand" was performed on Thursday, July 23, for an audience of professional choreographers, dancers, and other industry insiders during the Jazz Dance World Congress.

The Jazz Dance World Congress is a five- day event celebrating the uniquely American art form of jazz dance.
