First Citizens Bank, along with Bi- Lo, recently sponsored the Sixth Annual Duck Race benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Ducks were purchased at First Citizens and Bi- Lo locations for $5 per duck, then taken to Saluda Shoals Park on Bush River Road Sunday, July 19 for the race. First Citizens held an internal contest between branches. Pictured is the Forest Lake branch display, winner of best display. The bank's original goal was 3,500 ducks and $17,500. The goal was surpassed by selling 4,119 ducks and collecting $25,709.50 in support of the Boys and Girls Club.
