Scott injured
Contributed by Ron Scott

Carter Scott Carter Scott Former Hammond standout Carter Scott, projected as the starting middle linebacker for the 2009 Dartmouth Big Green football team, has most likely suffered a career- ending hand and wrist injury.

Dartmouth head coach Buddy Teevens, who praised the sophomore linebacker during Spring practices as "a very physical player who sees the game very well," described the loss of Scott as "devastating for the Dartmouth program."

Teevens said after learning of the extent of the injury, "Carter will nevertheless do well with his situation and in life...what a special young man."

Scott had earlier worked to rehab what many had described as a career- ending knee injury after working his way into the Big Green line- up as a freshman in 2008.
