Miss Brearley and Mr. Buckley wed June 20, 2009
Mary Catherine Brearley and William Stuart Buckley III were married June 20, 2009, in St. Simons Presbyterian Church, St. Simons Island, Georgia. The Rev. Dr. John Cecil Brearley, uncle of the bride, and Rev. Robert Brearley, father of the bride, performed the double ring ceremony. Music featured a string quartet, a trumpeter, an organist, and soloist. Scripture was read by Margaret Elizabeth Brearley, cousin of the bride, from Greenville, South Carolina.

The bridegroom is the son of William and Jan Buckley of Rochelle, Georgia. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Brooks of Rochelle, and Mr. and Mrs. William Stuart Buckley of Wallace, North Carolina. He graduated from Roswell High School in Roswell, Georgia, and the University of Georgia with a BA in business administration magna cum laude. He is employed by Peachtree Planning Corp. as a financial advisor.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless gown of delicate lace beautifully embellished with Sworovski crystals and beading. The A- line silhouette skirt flowed into a semi- cathedral train. The angel- cut veil was trimmed with a satin edge.
The maid of honor was Cameron Alyse Wetzel of Lilburn, Georgia. The matron of honor was Carolyn Seigler Brearley, sister- in- law of the bride from Rome, Georgia. The bridesmaids were Aubrey Amick Kesecker, cousin of the bride; Leighton Winifred Shaw; Meaghan Flynn Prindle; and Beth Lee Ann Cooper. The flower girl was Nell Pruitt Strength.
Jonathan Thomas Beckley of Atlanta, Georgia, and his twin brother Joshua Brooks Buckley of Macon, Georgia served as the bridegroom's best men. The groomsmen were James Montgomery Brearley and David Matthew Brearley, brothers of the bride; Eugene Anthony Rice; and Michael Craig Pringle. The ring bearer was James O'Neal Strength.
A reception was held at A. W. Jones Heritage Center, St. Simons Island.
After a honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico, the couple will reside in Decatur, Georgia.
