Columbia student receives SCSDB award

Tia Cleckley Tia Cleckley Tia Cleckley of Columbia, a graduate of the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind, has been named Outstanding Student for the postsecondary program.

During her two- year program, Cleckley, who is deaf, developed computer skills through the school's digital arts program. She completed off- campus work experience in the photo department at Walgreens Drug Store. She also served as a volunteer for SunTrust Bank Savings Pro- gram working with elementary, middle, and high school students. She is the daughter of Albertha Hartpence of Columbia.
