The 38th Annual SC Genealogical Society Workshop wil be July 10, 11 at the SC State Archives beginning at 8:45 am July 10 with registration and vendor setup. From 9 am- 11 am, a hands- on tour will be conducted by Steve Tuttle.

Topics include DNA Testing and How to Use the Results, Progress of the Hunley Restoration, Genealogy Research at the Library, GIS for Genealogy, SC Land Records, Collections at Wake Forest, African American Research, Finding Confederate Ancestors, NC Freedmen's Bureau Records, Reading a Plat, African Americans after the Civil War, Cherokee Genealogy, and Border Problems Between the Carolinas in the Colonial Period.
