Assistant pr incipal William Blakeney of Dreher high school accepts the check from co- chair Kaley Wilson. Due to a projected reduction in funding for public schools, Hand Middle School's 2009- 2010 school budget is anticipated to be significantly lower than this year's budget. The donated funds from the Shandon and Hollywood Rosehill Neighborhood Associations will be used to directly impact student learning through the purchase of classroom sets of literature to support the school's literacy initiatives.
