Cadet James Robert Lewis of Columbia, was recently honored for outstanding academic achievement at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, during the spring semester of the 2008- 2009 academic year. Lewis is seeking a BS in pre- business.

Lewis achieved Dean's List recognition, which is given to those cadets and active duty military students registered for 12 or more semester hours whose grade point ratio is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester's work.

In addition, Lewis earned a Gold Star for achieving a 3.7 grade point average or higher. Lewis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lewis.
