Bridge Creek third graders visit Musgrove Mill

 Third graders from Bridge Creek Elementary School "stepped back in time" as they visited Musgrove Mill State Historic Site in Clinton, S.C.  Musgrove Mill is the site of a 1780 Revolutionary War battle that was a "prelude to the American victories at Kings Mountain and Cowpens."  Ranger Dylan shows students how to build a fire and make musket balls.  Above, students participate in a mock drill to experience how the Loyalists and Patriots fought during the American Revolution. At left , students make fake musket cartridges out of paper and sand.  |
