Third graders from Bridge Creek Elementary School "stepped back in time" as they visited Musgrove Mill State Historic Site in Clinton, S.C. Musgrove Mill is the site of a 1780 Revolutionary War battle that was a "prelude to the American victories at Kings Mountain and Cowpens." Ranger Dylan shows students how to build a fire and make musket balls. Above, students participate in a mock drill to experience how the Loyalists and Patriots fought during the American Revolution. At left , students make fake musket cartridges out of paper and sand.
