SCBT employees raise $43,736.30

Jack Goettee, SCBT Midlands regional president, presents the money wearing a kilt to Nancy Barton, executive director for Sister- Care Jack Goettee, SCBT Midlands regional president, presents the money wearing a kilt to Nancy Barton, executive director for Sister- Care SCBT employees, customers and friends banded together to raise a total of $43,736.30 statewide for the Souper Bowl of Caring. All funds go directly to the local areas in which they were raised.

Employees of the Columbia and Lexington offices raised $2,744.95 for SisterCare. The official Tartan kilt was provided by The Citadel courtesy of Jim Belahay, director of The Citadel Pipe Band.

Jack Goettee was the "winner" of a contest conducted by one of the Columbia teams where employees paid $1 per vote for the person they most wanted to see in a kilt. The kilt competition raised $2,022.00, which is included in the total above.
