Eastminster Presbyterian Church Troop 10 presents two Eagle Scout awards
John Frederick Bunge Jr. (l) and Robert Bruce Borucki Jr. each were presented the Eagle Scout Award May 3, 2009, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. The young men are members of Eastminster Presbyterian Church Troop 10 and the Indian Waters Council. Robert Bruce Borucki Jr.
Robert Bruce Borucki Jr. (Rob) is the son of Bob and Caroline Borucki, the older brother of Davis and Evelyn Ann, the grandson of Caroline Bristow Marchant and the late T. Eston Marchant, and the late Robert and Evelyn Borucki. He is a junior at Richland Northeast High School and is in the Horizon Magnet Program and the National Honor Society. He serves on the school's senate and is an avid musician playing the tuba, piano, and guitar. He has been selected in the All State Band. For his Eagle Project, he planned, coordinated, and built 14 cages for Carolina Wildlife Care.
John Frederick Bunge Jr.
John Frederick Bunge (Rick) is the son of John and Evie Bunge and has an older sister Hannah. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Clarence S. Davis Jr. and Mrs. Marion Bunge and the late Fred Bunge. Rick is a sophomore at A. C. Flora High School and a SC Junior Scholar. He received the Duke TIP recognition. He is an officer for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a member of the Flora Republicans. He has played om the A.C. Flora Golf Team since seventh grade. For his Eagle Project, he led a group of scouts and friends in a landscaping project at the entrance to A.C. Flora High School. It included scraping, sanding, and repainting the poles of the main school sign and installing a raised planting bed underneath the sign.
