Boogie on down — RNE holds Golden Years Gala

Photo by Emily Langdon Richland Northeast High School held its 12th annual Golden Years Gala on April 30. Almost 90 senior citizens from assisted- living homes, churches, and the community attended. Sponsors were the freshman and sophomore houses, who raised the money to cover costs through a variety of fund raisers. "This is their major community service project of the year," said Kathy Jefferson, a Sophomore House co- sponsor. "For our senior citizens, it's a chance to get dressed up, dance, listen to great music, and see old friends again."
