Clinton, South Carolina
Driving Distance: 1 hour 2 minutes from Columbia

Located just an hour from Columbia is a special place where you will find friendly citizens, beautiful neighborhoods, and a high quality of life. The proud home of Presbyterian College, Clinton is nestled in the heart of upstate South Carolina at exit 54 off of I- 26. Clinton's vibrant downtown, significant historic sites, and frequent arts and sporting events make this small southern town an exciting place to be.

Founded in 1852 as a railroad town, the city soon grew to be the home of Clinton Mills, a textile mill company that operated four mills in the city. Today, the mills stand silent, but the city has reinvented itself as a center for various industries as well as a gateway to Lake Greenwood, the recreational opportunities in the Sumter National Forest, and a jumping off point for exploring upstate South Carolina.
