Miss Katzman and Mr. Simoneaux exchange vows May 9, 2009

Mr. Larry Hembree (executive director of the Nickelodeon Theatre) officiated. Following the ceremony, the mother of the bride, Ms. Debra Bogatin Katzman, hosted a reception at "The Hall" at Canal and Senate, the former Sterling Garden Center site.

The bride, daughter of Ms. Debbie Bogatin Katzman of Columbia, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Regina Smith Bogatin of Palm Beach, Florida, and the late Mr. Henry Donald Bogatin Jr. She earned a bachelor of arts honors degree in the history of art from University College London, University of London. She is employed with Unlimited Marketing Solutions of Columbia as public relations and advertising account director. She is also a freelance writer and artist.

The bridegroom is the son of Philip Gerald Simoneaux I of Charleston, South Carolina, and Ms. Jeanne Simoneaux of Blythewood, South Carolina. He earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. He is employed with Cohn Construction Services, LLC of Columbia as vice president of finance.

The bride was escorted by her maternal uncle, Mr. Richard Charles Bogatin and given in marriage by her mother. Her maid of honor was Freya Katzman, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Brooke Cohn, Christy Barnwell, Ginny Kuhn, Susie Lawing, Karen Moore, and Laura Simoneaux, sister of the bridegroom.

Christopher Rutledge served as the best man, The groomsmen were Jacob Born, Harris Cohn, Thomas Hughes, David Johnson, and Todd Turner, and Harry Katzman, brother of the bride.

After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Columbia.
