Blythewood Beach Bash
Jimmy Anderson began playing guitar with the Epics in 1963 while he was a freshman at Dreher High School. He was younger that the rest of the members, and they began calling him "The Kid." He got in the Epics because he was the only one they could find to play lead guitar for the song "Louie Louie."
When the Epics disbanded in May of 1970, Jimmy played with other bands for awhile until he joined Second Nature in 1972, switching to bass guitar. He was with Second Nature until 1984. He also was a member of the Handbell and Chancel Choirs at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church. Jimmy and wife Tina were married over 30 years. Jimmy worked at Bank of America.
All proceeds from the Beach Bash will go to the American Cancer Society in memory of Jimmy Anderson.
