Matt Johnson On Saturday, April 18, Spring Valley junior Matt Johnson broke a Spring Valley boys track record in a track meet in Powder Springs Georgia.

Johnson ran the 800m in 1:55.5 breaking the previous record set in 1973 by Halston Taylor of 1:55.74. This is a tremendous achievement and is the fastest time in S.C. this season.
