Cinnamon's previous owners moved away and left her behind to fend for herself. Kindhearted neighbors fed her leftovers, but mostly she scavenged for the small amounts of food that kept her alive. When it came time to deliver her puppies, she had them under the neighbor's shed. It is hard to imagine how a dog as emaciated as Cinnamon managed not only to survive but to give birth to and nourish seven puppies, but she did. Once the pups were big enough to be moved, the neighbors brought Cinnamon and her babies to our shelter in the back of a pick- up truck.

Today, she is filling out nicely. With a sweet disposition and a gentle attitude toward everyone she meets, Cinnamon will be a great catch for the family who adopts her. She loves to go for walks with her tail wagging the entire time. She was spayed on April 23 and is ready for adoption. Her puppies Harmony, Harold, Hayley, Homer, Hogan, Huxley, and Horton all will be altered in May and June.
