The Heathwood Hall Highlanders played Florence Christian on Monday night and won the doubleheader 2- 0 and 6- 4.

Melton Bristow pitched a complete game shutout, giving up only three hits and striking out 12 in the first game, while Matt Prosser took the loss in a gem of his own giving up two hits and fanning ten.

In the second game, Whit Hensley picked up the win, scattering eight hits and striking out five while Robert Lawhon took the loss. Heathwood scored five runs in the third inning to take the lead for good highlighted by an RBI single from Davis Ray which was followed by an RBI double from Melton Bristow. Ray finished 2- 2, and Chris Barton finished 2- 4 to pace the Highlanders.

Heathwood Hall will next play Robert E. Lee in a best of three series starting with a doubleheader in Bishopville on Friday afternoon. The first game starts at 4:30.
