Elizabeth McKee Baker has been selected to receive an educational grant in the amount of $800 per semester for her undergraduate studies at Winthrop University.

The Strom Thurmond Foundation with assets of approximately $2.4 million, annually awards financial aid to qualified South Carolina residents who can demonstrate financial need based upon family income and the number of family members. The Foundation was established in 1974 by Senator Thurmond with honoraria received from speeches, donations from friends and family, and from other acts of generosity.
