Timmerman students win SCISA State Science Fair awards
(L- r) Prem Chockalingham, Haseeb Mahmood, and Zane Smith. Timmerman School students were recognized during the awards ceremony at the 2009 South Carolina Independent School Association State Science Fair held in Orangeburg recently.
The team consisting of Prem Chockalingham, Haseeb Mahmood and Zane Smith, took first place in the interdisciplinary team project in the junior division.
Bailey Lee and Zariah Hayes teamed up to take second place honors in the interdisciplinary team project in the elementary division.
David Tiffin came in second in the physical science category of the elementary division.
Jordan Herrmann took third place in the environmental section of the elementary division.
The South Carolina Independent School Association is a non- profit, voluntary association of approximately 100 independent schools serving more than 35,000 students.
