Forest Acres star moving on to NASCAR

By Tom Poland

The Wheeler Company endorsed Forest Acres son Jordan Anderson as an up- and- coming racecar driver March 26, 2009. This is another step closer to NASCAR.

Humpy Wheeler, founder of

the Wheeler Company

and a former president of both Lowe's Motor Speedway and Speedway Motorsports Inc., has had his eye on Anderson for some time. One of the company's clients is NASCAR.

Anderson's driven Go- Karts, Bandolero Cars, Legends Cars, Limited Late Models, and Late Model Super Trucks. Racing has taken him to more than 20 tracks, including Lowe's Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Orlando Speedworld, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. During the 2009 season, Anderson plans to run 30 to 35 races on dirt tracks. For Anderson and his sponsors, it means valuable experience and even more exposure.

A hometown boy, Jordan Anderson makes three generations of Andersons who have called Forest Acres home. Despite racing's demands, Anderson practices his faith and performs community service and spends time with his parents, Clif and Sherry Anderson, and sister, Jennifer.

Already the Forest Acres logo has enjoyed many days in the winner's circle, a Nationals Title in 2005, and three championships in 2007. In 2008, Jordan won three races during the Lowe's Motor Speedway Summer Shootout Series and won the 2008 Legends Car Pro Summer Shootout Series Championship. He became the only driver in Legends Car history to win the Lowe's Motor Speedway Summer Shootout Pro division Championship two years in a row. As well, he captured wins at Concord Motorsport Park and at Anderson Speedway and won the 2008 South Carolina State Championship.

Anderson has great sponsors. Major sponsors like Forest Acres, Dick Dyer Toyota, Leon Jones Insurance, Palmetto Galleries, Green Orthodontics, and Cedar Creek Performance have a shot at some big- time winner's circles. For Anderson and his sponsors, the checkered flag of success may not be that far off at all. For all involved, it's a winning scenario.
