Miss Schumpert and Mr. Geddings exchange vows April 4, 2009
Cheryl Anne Schumpert and Michael Wayne Geddings were married April 4, 2009, in Pine Bluff Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina. The Rev. Dr. Larry Scott performed the double ring ceremony.
Mrs. Michael Wayne Geddings The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Schumpert III. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Annie Ruth Tinsley and the late Julius Benjamin Tinsley and the late Mr. and Mrs. William C. Schumpert Jr. The bride graduated from Lower Richland High School and Columbia College with a BS in social work. She received a masters degree in social work from the University of South Carolina. She is employed by Tri- County Home Health Care as a medical social worker.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Geddings of Lexington, South Carolina. He graduated from Columbia High School and is a manager with MAC Papers and a freelance artist with Custom Art Design.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory satin gown by Casablanca Bridal. The gown had a fit and flare silhouette with beaded appliques lining the halter neckline. The beading continued around the waist to a V- shape in the back. Swarovski crystal buttons highlighted the semi- chapel length train.
The maid of honor was Dorothy Moore. The bridesmaids were Keeshia Dresko, Barbara Marsh, and Lisa Ruff.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Tony Carnaggio; Travis Jackson; and William Schumpert, brother of the bride.
The ringbearer was Noah Scott. The flower girls were Campbell Jayne Lamar and Chloe Marsh.
After a honeymoon to Surfside Beach, South Carolina, the couple will reside in Lexington.
