Blythewood drama team competes in Summerville

 Fourteen Blythewood Middle School students from the Drama Competition Team traveled to Summerville March 28 to compete in the South Carolina Speech and Theatre Associations Youth Festival. Brittany Lopetrone placed first in poetry and third in makeup. Caroline Mallard placed second in storytelling and third in poetry. Helen Burgess placed third in Impromptu Speaking. Readers Theatre, which included Cheyanne Kuzlik, Shatejah Jackson, Devon Harkness, Jordan Cook, Emerald Kelley and Marissa Briggs, placed second. Group Acting, which consisted of Katie Turner, Amanda Norcia, Mary Hayden Smith, Helen Burgess, Kennedi Hawkins, and Payton Waguespack, also placed second. |
