The National Car Care Council and Suddeth Automotive will present Free Car Care Inspections April 1- 30, 2009, from 8:30 am- 4:30 pm at Suddeth Automotive, 1410 N. Millwood Ave, in Columbia. Participants can celebrate Car Care Month and prepare their car for summer with free car care inspections. They can walk in or make an appointment. The Suddeth family has offered automotive services in the Columbia area since 1971. Joe T. Suddeth and sons opened a service station (Richland Mall Exxon) in the Forest Acres area of Columbia. In the late 80s it became apparent that the Suddeths would have to close the service station due to lease agreements and the oil company policy at that time. The service station closed in the summer of 1990.

On February 6, 1990, Suddeth Automotive Service, Inc. was opened at 1410 N. Millwood Avenue. The business started with two employees, and has consistently expanded over the years. Suddeth Automotive Service is now managed & owned by Mike Suddeth and employs certified technicians, a technician in training, and a support team of service advisors, an office manager, and a porter.

According to Mike Suddeth, Suddeth Automotive Service has been blessed over the years with a top- notch staff and some of the world's greatest customers. With this combination of employees and loyal customers, Suddeth Automotive Service, Inc. expects to flourish and grow into the 2000s.

He also says that to meet customer's needs the company offers timely, professional automotive service and repairs. They strive to accomplish this through great customer service and ethical and sound business practices, while maintaining or exceeding professional industry standards. Suddeth says it is mandatory that their technicians and sales staff attend a minimum of 32 hours of training a year. They are encouraged to attend more to keep their professional skills sharp and stay as current as possible with the rapid changes in the automotive industry.
