"I want to do something. I want to be part of finding an answer." These were the words of the late Kay Yow, former women's head basketball coach at North Carolina State University. Now you can be part of finding an answer by joining Hammond this Saturday, March 21 at 9 am at Hammond School for a fun and family friendly 4K run (2.5 miles).

This event is to raise money for the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund, which is the first health initiative chosen by the Women's Basketball Coaches Associations in its 28- year history. It is the newest branch of The V Foundation and will fund scientific research of all women's cancers and its cure.

All ages are welcome, and donations will gratefully be accepted regardless of participation. All participants are encouraged to bring their best running shoes, well stretched legs, and a bright smile.
