On Tuesday March 17, the Airport Lady Eagles defeated the Dreher Lady Blue Devils 2- 0 at Airport. In a close, defensive game, it was two sensational goals for the Eagles that made the difference.

 

In the first half, the Lady Eagles broke a scoreless match in the 19th minute on a free kick by Emily Jeffcoat following a Dreher foul outside the penalty box giving the Eagles an early 1- 0 lead.

The story of the game was Dreher's goalkeeper, Madi Kazadi. She made numerous saves, including a diving save in the 28th minute to deny Casi Jones a goal.

Kazadi again denied Jones in the 38th minute on a breakaway one on one opportunity.

However, the Lady Blue Devils were unable to cash in on Kazadi's great performance.

Instead it was Jones who cashed in. Late in the second half Jones scored on a free kick just outside the penalty box to close the door on Dreher and give Airport a 2- 0 win.
