Alumnae Hall was the setting for the February 12, 2009, meeting of the Ariail Chapter of the Columbia College Alumnae Association. Hostesses for the occasion were Sue Hammond Hance ('54), Chair Mary Beth Sjoberg ('50), Norma Richardson Johnson ('58), and Nita Milling Montgomery. Chapter members gathered at 10 o'clock for refreshments and fellowship.

Mary Beth Sjoberg introduced Ann Benson, a member of the Columbia College voice faculty, and Allison Hilbish, staff accompanist, who presented a program of vocal and piano music.

President Joyce Mann ('56) opened the business meeting with prayer and welcomed the group. She recognized members present who had not been able to attend for some time.

Treasurer Norma Johnson reported the financial status of the chapter. Nominating Committee Chairman Jewell Hill ('60) presented the slate of officers elected unanimously to serve the coming year: president, Joyce Hart Mann ('56); vice president, Judy Jones Cannon ('74); secretary, Marie Hill Chapiesky (honorary); treasurer, Norma Richardson Johnson ('58); and historican, Anne Turner Harrell ('57).

The next meeting will be April 9, 2009, 10 am at Alumnae Hall.
