Beta Sigma Phi International names winner of the Carolinas

Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority has named Judy T. Sturgis the winner of the 2009 Alpha Omega Award of the Carolinas. The award ceremony was held in Hilton Head, S.C. March 14, 2009. Sturgis has been a member of the local Columbia Chapter Preceptor Alpha and a member of Beta Sigma Phi since 1972. Beta Sigma Phi International is a non- academic sorority with 200,000 members in chapters around the world. It was founded for the social, cultural, and civic enrichment of its members. Donations of approximately $1 million have been made to medical research and treatment and to institutions such as homes for children.
