Miss Schmale and Mr. Foster exchange vows February 21, 2009
Mrs. Charles Cantzon Foster II Krisdee Ann Schmale and Charles Cantzon Foster II were married in First Presbyterian Church February 21, 2009. Rev. Dr. Sinclair B. Ferguson performed the double ring ceremony. Music was provided by Dr. Ann Wison, pianist; Mary Lee Taylor Kinosian, violinist; Victoria Boyce, soloist; Billy DuBose, bagpiper; and Christian Kloot, drummer.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Jeffrey Robert Schmale of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Ms. Ivanelle Sandra Schmale of Irmo, South Carolina. Her maternal grandparents are the late Mrs. Ivanelle "Ginger" Alcorn Schuler and the late Mr. Floyd Orland Ray of Beloit, Wisconsin. Her paternal grandparents are the late Mr. Wayne Harry Schmale and the late Mrs. Dolores Grenawalt Schmale of Beloit, Wisconsin. The bride graduated from Irmo High School and the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management. She is employed as an Ombudsman with Palmetto GBA in Columbia.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Doctor Carl McDonald Foster and Mrs. Carl McDonald Foster of Columbia. His maternal grandparents are the late Mr. Harold Anthony Holliday Sr. and the late Mrs. Louise Clewis Holliday of Charleston, South Carolina. His paternal grandparents are the late Mr. Charles "Charlie" Cantzon Foster and the late Mrs. Isabel Witherspoon Foster of Columbia. He graduated from Hammond School and the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and the University of South Carolina School of Law with a Juris Doctorate. He is the founding member of Foster Law Offices, LLC in Columbia.
The bride wore a gown exclusively designed by Jodi Moylan of White Couture. Her ivory duchess satin gown was strapless with a slightly gathered bust line accented with Alençon lace, Swarovski crystals and beading with a basque dropped waistline, a full skirt with box pleats in the front, sides, and back. The hemline was beautifully detailed with pyramid Alençon lace accented with Swarovski crystals pearl beading and a chapel length train. The bride wore a Toni Federici cathedral length "angel wing" veil accented with Swarvoski crystals and a headpiece covered in Swarvoski crystals and pale pink fresh water pearls. The Waterford crystal cross the bride wore on her neck was inscribed with the wedding date and signed by Vincent Rallis of Waterford, Ireland. She carried a white- shadow fox muff. The bride entered the sanctuary to Highland Cathedral piped by Billy DuBose and Christian Kloot, snare drummer.
The Matron of Honor was Mrs. George Maltby Stiles III, sister of the bride, of Irmo. Attendants were Mrs. Kevin Patrick DeCabooter, Miss Ashley Carol Elliott, Miss Jane Spencer Ruschky, and Mrs. Christopher Kent Smith.
Honorary attendants were Miss Mary Elaine Hensley and Mrs. August Gustave Swarat II, sister of the bridegroom. Mrs. Willis Langley and Miss Graham Elisabeth Smith served as greeters. Ms. Ann Rawl McCain was the wedding coordinator.
Mr. Hamilton Witherspoon Foster of Charleston and brother of the bridegroom served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Justin Ellis Dickens, Mr. Samuel Bennett Fordney, Mr. Charles Douglas Hyatt, and Mr. Marion Moise Moses. Mr. George Maltby Stiles III, brother- in- law of the bride, and Mr. August Gustave Swarat II, brother- in- law of the bridegroom served as ushers. Henry Dorrah Foster, cousin of the bridegroom was the scripture reader.
A reception was held at Forest Lake Club. Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Columbia.
