Gardening is one of the most popular national pastimes. The activity can be enjoyed by almost everyone, whether young or old, weak or strong, able- bodied or handicapped. It can be a vigorous activity or a sedentary one. As gardeners grow older or physical abilities change, they may need a little help to continue to make their garden grow.

Palmetto Health Richland's Total Joint Center wants to help them keep those gardens looking good. The center is offering a free "Adaptive Gardening Seminar" 9:30 am, Wednesday, April 8, at Historic Columbia Foundation's Robert Mills House, 1616 Blanding Street. The seminar will be held in the Robert Mills Carriage House. Registration is required.

The topic is container gardening using vegetables.

To register, call 296-2273.
