You and your four- legged pal can enjoy a day of fun while raising money to help homeless pets in the Midlands. Over 19,000 dogs and cats are euthanized in just two area shelters. Help them by participating in the 2009 Bark to the Park Walk and Festival for the Animals April 18.

The day starts with a one- mile walk for canines and humans alike starting at Finlay Park in Columbia, SC. There will be great prizes at all levels for walkers and virtual walkers. Sign up as an individual or form a team with your friends or co- workers.

Your dog can be a Superstar! The top fundrasier will have the honor of having his/her dog participate as the Chairdog for Bark to the Park 2010 and will be on the event promotional materials as well as being named the event VIP (Very Important Pooch).

Following the walk, there will be a festival in Finlay Park with exciting fly- ball and disc dog competitions, live entertainment, area rescue groups, vendors galore and much more!
