A.C. Flora student wins USC scholarship
A.C. Flora senior, Hayley Jean Elia, has been selected as one of 50 students out of approximately 800, to be designated as a "Carolina Scholar" for the fall 2009 freshman USC class.
The scholarship comes with a $28,000 award and includes a lap top and a free parking space on the USC campus. Additionally, she will be considered later for an award of $40,000. Hayley is an IB student and a cheerleader at Richland One's A.C. Flora High School. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Elia of Forest Acres.
