Ridge View teachers selected for Uganda teacher exchange
Ridge View High School teachers, Lisa Ellis and Nicole Walker. Ridge View High School teachers, Lisa Ellis and Nicole Walker, will be two of 37 American teachers working with the Invisible Children Teacher Exchange in Gulu, Uganda, June 15- July 27.
Invisible Children is a non- profit organization created in 2003 after three young men from California accidentally stumbled upon the horrific tragedy occurring in Uganda.
Invisible Children, Inc. focuses on long- term goals that enable children to take responsibility for their future and the future of their country through programs that address quality education, mentorships, redevelopment of schools, resettlement from the camps, and financial stability. One of its programs is a Teacher Exchange.
The cost of this trip is $10,000. The contribution is tax deductible.
