Covenant Classical Christian School boasts record season
Junior Varsity Team with Coach Andrew Peckham Covenant Classical Christian School's Junior Varsity Boys had another season for the record books. Finishing with an overall record of 13- 2, they clinched the title of Regular Season Champions and Overall Tournament
Champions of Region III SCISA Class A competition.
The Junior Varsity Boys capped off the dynamic season with a 48- 33 victory over Glenforest in the Tournament Championship game.
The Eagles were led in scoring this year by Jonathan Peckham who scored 16 points in the championship game. Nico Legaspi and Nate Stephenson were the next two top scorers and played vital leadership roles throughout the season and in the championship game. The Junior Varsity Boys have now won back to back championships the past two years.
Covenant Classical Christian School's Varsity Boys had one of the most successful seasons at the varsity level in Covenant's history. They finished as Region III SCISA Class A Regular Season Runner- Up and Tournament Runner- Up.
Post- season honors went to Will Gasaway and David Golden, both selected to the All- Region Team; Christian Golden, Co- Player of the Year for Region III- A averaging 14.4 PPG and 10.1 RPG. Emmanuel Bazemore and Taylor Williamson were selected to the All- Tournament Team after having breakout games in the Region III- A postseason tournament. Varsity Boys Coach, Andrew Peckham, was selected as the Region III- A Coach of the Year for his efforts in leading the Eagles' highly successful season. Assistant Coaches are Barrett Self and Hub Blankenship.

Although Covenant Classical Christian School's Lady Eagles lost by a narrow margin in double overtime against Glenforest in the Region III- A Tournament, they ended with a solid season. Post- season honors went to Berkeley Bishop and Christy Wright, both selected to the All- Region Team.
Christy Wright was selected to the All- Tournament Team and awarded All- Region MVP. Congratulations to Sarah Mazur, Varsity Girls Coach (pictured on right) who was selected as Region III- A Coach of the Year. Sarah Mazur and Coach Chelsea Wrenn (pic- tured on left) were new to the coaching staff at Covenant this year.
