Second time around for seven CAP honor roll students

Seven students at the Center for Accelerated Preparation made the school's A/B Honor Roll for the second quarter. The students, (l- r) Marcus Pope (finalist in the state- level Students in Free Enterprise competition), Marshall Beatty, Raven Williams, Deyante Dodd,Yadira Vallecilla, J.W. Beasley, and Daniel Perez, who also made the honor roll for the first quarter. "These students certainly live up to our school's motto — 'The Center Where Scholars Evolve'," said Brenda Hafner, CAP's lead teacher. CAP is a two- year Richland School District Two program designed for seventh graders who are at least one grade level behind. The program offers an intense course of study to provide students the opportunity to enter high school as sophomores on schedule for graduation.
