About Sarah

Sarah Brotman is 11 years old and will be 12 shortly. She attends two Academies at Dent Middle School. She plays basketball, softball, and loves swimming. She enjoys reading, and is an honor roll student. She has already donated her hair once, and says she felt great about it. She says knowing she was helping somebody to feel good about themselves was her favorite part of the experience.

Sarah goes on to say, "Thanks to somebody who donated their hair, my grandmother got a wig that lifted her self confidence from 1 to 100. I have lost a few dear friends to battles with cancer. Since I know how it feels to be defeated by cancer, I feel we should show cancer we can defeat it. By giving people confidence, it enables them to have a more positive outlook. This is quite helpful when battling this horrible disease. That is why I decided to organize a hair donation."
