The 28th Annual Snowman Run 8K Road Race and Youth Fun Run was held Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Caughman Road Park. Jayvonne Dennis, a fifth grader at Meadowfield Elementary, had the winning entree for the annual T- shirt contest. About 150 children braved the record low temperatures for the Fun Run at 12:30 pm. AC Flora High School and Lower Richland High School ROTC Students once again volunteered throughout the races. Rudy Bear, the Ruritan Mascot from Lower Richland Ruritan Club encouraged the young runners for the Annual Fun Run.
