New York Renaissance quartet to perform
The Heritage at Lowman welcomes The Good Pennyworths, a New York City- based vocal quartet with lute, for a special double performance on Monday, January 19. They will be performing at 3 pm in the Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center and again at 6:30 pm in the New Life Chapel of the Daily Life Center. The Good Pennyworths are Garald Farnham (baritone and lutes), Erika Lloyd (soprano), Alane Marco (soprano), and Matt Leisy (tenor). The group formed in the summer of 2007 to explore songs written for the Renaissance lute. In the short time since, their artistic talent and playful approach has been a huge hit with New York audiences who have come to refer to the group's sound as "Pop music, Elizabethan- style."
