Kendall Painter scored 26 points to lead the visiting Wilson Hall Lady Barons over the Heathwood Hall Lady Highlanders 64- 49 Tuesday, January 6.

Kristen Dickerson did all she could to help the Highlander effort scoring 30 of Heathwood Hall's 49 points, but the night belonged to Painter and the Lady Barons.

Painter went to work early scoring 12 of Wilson Hall's 14 first period points. The Lady Barons went on to build a 22- 8 lead at the 5:27 mark of the second period and a 33- 15 lead by halftime. Painter led the way with 17 points. Four other Lady Barons contributed.

By contrast, Dickerson scored 11 points and the only other Lady Highlander to score was Logan Ress with four.

The Lady Highlanders cut the gap to 12 at the end of the third period with sharp shooting from Dickerson and Carter Warren. Dickerson netted nine points and Warren sank four baseline jump shots for all eight of her points.

The Lady Barons responded with a 12- 6 run and after Painter successfully followed up a missed Wilson Hall free throw, the Lady Barons led 58- 40 with a little more than three minutes remaining in the game.
