Volunteers at Sunset Felines want the best for their clients

Sunset Felines is a small, local all volunteer animal aid group that was formed in August, 2001. They are dedicated to improving the lives of the many homeless, abandoned cats in the Midlands area. Their focus is on education and the importance of spaying and neutering pets. They rely strictly on the generosity of the public for donations such as food, medical care, and supplies. They house the cats in private foster homes.

Their emphasis is on the quality of the lives they save, not the quantity. A pet is a lifetime commitment and they want the cat and the new owner to be compatible so much time is spent matching the right cat to the right home. This is done with interviews and a home visit that occurs before adoption is completed.

All vet care is included in their adoption package. All of their cats are rescued and had hard lives, so they want their future home to be the best possible. Since they rescue these cats from the streets of Columbia, there are many still waiting to be saved. This cannot happen until they find good, indoor, foster and adoptive homes.

Sunset Felines is dedicated to finding the best homes for its rescued cats.
