The Greater Columbia Junior Cotillion holds 15th annual Holly Ball
By John Dixon
Patty Ploehn and Justin Davidson The Greater Columbia Junior Cotillion recently celebrated its 15th annual Holly Ball. Students from local middle schools did the foxtrot, the shag, and the electric slide.
Junior Cotillion not only teaches students how to dance, it teaches participants impeccable manners. With this goal in mind Cotillion director Jan Cohn lengthened this year's event to allow for more instruction and demonstration.
"In today's busy life many of the students had missed one or more classes. In order to be sure everyone had adequate opportunity to learn the steps we added instructional segments." The reworked format bolstered the students' confidence and a great time was had by all.
Junior Cotillion resumes its season in January.
