The following students at Spring Valley High School scored a perfect 800 on a section of the SAT exam in November: Anurag Deeconda, Trevor Auman, and Vladimir Plotkin.

The Spring Valley Math Team placed third in the Level 1 Division of the 23rd Annual High School Math Contest at the USC- Columbia Campus. David H. (Harry) Richman scored the highest score on the written exam and was awarded a scholarship to study mathematics at USC. The following students participated on the team: Vladimir Plotkin, Christopher Pasco, Afia Khan, Jacob Baker, Tae Kim, and David H. Richman.
