Richland One principal wins school health award

Nathan White Nathan White Olympia Learning Center Principal Nathan White has been named the winner of the School Health Services Award. The South Carolina Association of School Nurses presents this award each year to an individual who has made a positive impact on the lives of children through school health programs.

Olympia school nurse Cheryl Guyton, RN, who nominated White for the award, said his support of school nursing and school health has been exemplary. "Mr. White has allowed the promotion of school health through diverse, creative, and innovative means," said Guyton. "He has encouraged the use of hands- on learning techniques and other creative forms of instruction to educate our students."
