Tequila McNeal scores 24 second- half points off steals and fast breaks to lead Dreher over A.C. Flora.
      Dreher's Tequila McNeal scored 24 second- half points, most of which came off steals and fast breaks, to lead the Lady Blue Devils over the arch- rival Lady Falcons 61- 52 at A.C. Flora Friday, December 19. Without arguably their best player, Tiara Knotts, who was nursing an injury, the Lady Falcons still managed to jump out to a 14- 4 lead at the end of the first period.

Chris Brown delivers 29 points for Dreher as the Blue Devils crush arch- rival A.C. Flora.
      On Friday, December 19, the Dreher Blue Devils defeated the A.C. Flora Falcons 82- 58. Dreher had three players finish with double digit point totals. Chris Brown led the way with 29 points, while Dominic Boyd chipped in with 15 and Dominique Nathaniel had 13. A.C. Flora was led by Marquise Simuel, who had 18 points, and Toby Cassels who finished with 11 points.

Midas Highlander Classic
      The 2008 Midas Highlander Classic will take place December 27- 29 on the campus of Heathwood Hall Episcopal School. The boys side of the bracket will feature the Wilson Hall Barons, Blythewood Bengals, Irmo Yellow Jackets, Orangeburg Prep Indians, Brookland- Cayce Bearcats, Hammond Skyhawks, Newberry Academy, and the host school Heathwood Hall Highlanders.

Busbee sets new standard for SCISA wrestling
      Heathwood Hall senior, Preston Busbee won the 112 pound division championship of the Taco Bell Wrestling Invitational held December 19- 20 at Spring Valley High School. Busbee received a bye in the first round but wrestled four matches that totaled less than three minutes. He recorded four pins in 21 seconds, 81 seconds, 30 seconds, and 29 seconds, respectively.

Ben Lippen names Seibert new head baseball coach
      Ben Lippen School is pleased to announce the hiring of Kurt Seibert as the head coach of the baseball program. Coach Seibert is no stranger to South Carolina baseball. He played and coached under the legendary Bill Wilhelm at Clemson University for parts of three decades. While playing at Clemson, Seibert was named All American as well as first team all ACC twice.
